Megvii has partnered with a leading elevator provider to create a smart access solution to Singapore’s new landmark integrated development. With Megvii’s solution, visitors can enjoy secure, efficient and convenient digital access to the building.

The new building is the latest landmark integrated development in Singapore. Located in Singapore’s Central Area, the building has a height of 280 meters and a total lease area of over 60,000 square meters. It is divided into multiple zones, including a 35-metre tall Green Oasis, Grade A office space, a hotel, food and beverage outlets and more. Due to its prime location, pioneering design, and top-grade facilities, the building has already attracted a number of top business to open their offices in it.
Megvii began developing a series of intelligent solutions for the building following an in-depth study of the building and its requirements. Of the Megvii solutions being employed in the building, which used to provide secure access to the building is the most prominent. The solution is based on Megvii’s deep learning AIoT Comprehensive Application Platform, which features a combined front-end camera and back-end server design. The front-end modular IP camera is hidden under the glass cover of the security gates to provide a simple and non-invasive design. After receiving video footage taken by the front-end camera, the back-end server analyzes the information using Armour algorithm and sends the results to the autonomous gate control and elevator deployment system, which are both empowered by Megvii’s deep learning AIoT Comprehensive Application Platform.
The combined solution, allows more than 25 people to pass through the security gates per minute, helping to avoid congestion at entrances during peak periods. The solution has also been optimized to recognize people wearing various decoration, providing efficient access while helping to protect the safety of those in the building.
